Avery's favorite toys

So far these "toys" have come out on top as his favorites.

A wooden spoon and a toothbrush- both are great for those teeth that are popping through!

An empty formula can and baby food lids. I covered the can with pictures of family and then cut a hole in the top of the lid. Melissa gave me the idea and the can. Avery loves putting the lids in the can over and over again.

From the heart

My aunt sent this to Avery when he was born. It was made by an older woman my aunt worked with. I thought Avery looked cute, Scott thought he looked girly. Either way, they will be fun pictures to show him when he's older!

83 degrees!

What a beautiful day! We really enjoyed our day today. Bama and Papa came for a visit and we played games, visited the library, and took a really long walk. Avery was wearing shorts today. I can't believe it was so warm in March. Our grass turned green in just a few days. I love spring!
It was a great day- I even ended up getting rid of one colorful spoon!

Play Group!

Scott, Avery, and I had a lot of fun at our play group today. There were 6 infants all around 8 months and 10 adults! We had fun watching the babies interact. Avery was the only one not crawling- but he does a great job walking holding our hands or other things. He really liked playing on the little motorcycle. I was surprised that he was able to move it! He's already taking after Scott and loving biking. Tonight my friend Laurie and I went rock climbing at the local gym and Scott and Avery watched. We let Avery grab onto some holds- now he just needs to learn to walk so we can teach him to climb!

Here he is on his favorite bike

Here Avery is with Max- it's Max's motorcycle and
he was "sharing" with Avery.

Look at that determined look!

TV Zombie

Scott, Avery, and I were recently in Chicago for an internship interview. While I was getting ready, I had the TV on which is a rarity at home. Once I saw Avery's expression, I remembered why I never have the TV on. I think he zoned out for a few minutes and wouldn't even look at me when I called his name. Who knew Elmo could be so engaging.

We also went for a swim at the hotel pool.

Stanley's Adventures

Now that Stanley is done with his adventures, I thought I would share them with you all. He has been very busy and has become quite the traveler. His most exciting adventure was in Okinawa, Japan. Thanks to my friend Annetta and her sister-in law- he had a "whirlwind tour". If you see Gaven, keep Stanley's adventures a secret. He will find out next week.

It's galoshes weather

With the warm temperatures we decided to venture out to the dog park. It was a great walk and we didn't even mind the wet feet afterwards.

On our way to the park-thanks for the warm jumper, Folmans!

Look at Scott's cool face! The sun was so bright.
