Avery's Fashion Mentor

First Christmas

Avery enjoyed his first Christmas.

We were trying to get a nice Christmas picture by the tree but all Avery wanted to do was suck the wrapping paper off.

He wasted no time devouring his present.

He thought he was awesome because he was old enough to be pulled in a little wagon.

What a fun toy!

At church this last Sunday, Avery was playing under their activity gym. He really liked playing under it and started reaching and rolling around which is a great way to strengthen those muscles! While I thought this was a great toy, I wasn't going to buy it because he would only use it for so long. Well, when Avery and I were under the coffee table checking it out (don't ask), it occurred to me that I could make a homemade gym by taping toys to the coffee table. Well, it worked and Avery is enjoying his new toy.

Look at my new toy!

Christmas came early for Avery with the delivery of his new walker from Grandma and Grandpa Davis. Once Mom figured out how to put it together, Avery loved it. He really likes the toys and has been determined to take them off of the tray. I guess that will entertain him for hours because they don't come off! Avery says, "Thanks G & G Davis, now I can explore the whole house with Mommy running after me!"

Nothing better than relaxing in a tub!

Sometimes he relaxes too much- just after this picture was taken he fell asleep!

I'm growing so fast!

This picture was taken on Thanksgiving. It is of Avery and his cousin Jaycent. They are little over 5 mos apart but Avery is almost as tall as Jaycent. He was in 90 percentile for height two weeks ago at his 4 mos appointment.

Bathtime!

I just thought that the robe and slippers were cute, so I decided to post this one.

Give me the box and I'm content!

They always say that the box is more exciting than the toy. Well, every time I get out Avery's toy box, he wants to play with the actual box and isn't so interested in the toys.

3rd Annual Friends' Reunion

Each year Janna, Sarah, Irene, and I get together with our families and enjoy a weekend together. This year we stayed at an awesome cabin in the Dells. This place had 5 bedrooms and a huge great room. We had a blast spending time dancing to DDR, eating great food Todd prepared, taking a walk, laughing, playing games, and talking into the night. I think I got a total of 4 hours of sleep all weekend.

Halloween

Halloween was pretty exciting for Avery- he slept through most of it and Scott and I ended up handing out all of the candy without him! This picture of him looks so much like Scott that it's scary! Avery had another first today- he rolled over from front to back. He' s getting so big.

Carving Fun

The gourd market is much more favorable than the pumpkin market so Brandee and I decided to carve a gourd. Laura came down from Duluth and joined us for the carving fun. The advantage of carving a gourd is that they have hair. Here is our final products.

Autumn Fun

Today was beautiful in Madison so we decided to go to a corn maze. The maze was way too easy so we decided to have a corn fight, I'm pretty sure Scott lost. After the maze, we became spots on a cow.

My Cousins

This weekened Avery was able to spend some time with his cousins. Taking a picture of four boys, three of which are three and under, is quite the challenge! This is the best one we could get.

B's Birthday Fun! Continued...

We also played at an indoor pool for my birthday. Avery loved swimming!

B's Birthday Fun!

For my birthday we had fun exploring new places in Madison. One of the places we went was to the Olbrich botanical gardens. It was the perfect place to be on a cold, autumn day!

It was so humid and warm in the observatory that we had to strip Avery down. He had upper lip sweat!

Avery and Banana at 3 months

I can't believe he is already 3 months old. This last month he didn't change size, but he did grow more hair.

Look what I found!

Looks like Daddy has some competition! I hope Avery will pick something other than rally racing. I love to give Avery new objects to discover. When I handed him the remote, he laughed out loud and gave me a big smile.

It's Birthday Time!!!

On Sunday we traveled to Platteville to celebrate Austin's 3rd birthday.

Dora came for a visit. Actually, we had a pinata and Cassie decided to try Dora's head on.

As you can see, Avery is thrilled with the party. I think Scott enjoys wearing his girlie hat.....

Or maybe Venus likes wearing it!

Crazy Backwards Shirt Day

We are awesome (and fashionable) parents. We decided that we wanted to be on the cutting edge of baby fashion. This year's fall fashion is backwards baby ware. As you can see we have outfitted Avery in the latest fashion.

A special thanks to my parents (Tim and Dianne) for giving me such a great style sense that I am able to pass it on to Avery. Elbow patches are for old people. The new kids wear them in the front.

Ok, actually Brandee didn't notice the tag and put it on backwards. By the way, she thinks it looks cool this way and told me that Avery likes it better and that's why he is smiling.

My Buddy

Venus has been the perfect big sister to Avery. Yesterday she put her ball in Avery's lap, hoping he would throw it for her!

Fun at the dog park

Today was beautiful in Madison so we decided to go to Werner Park.

Ralph needs a child!

Avery was spoiled by his Great Aunt Debbie when he was born. One of the many gifts she sent him is this adorable Ralph Lauren outfit. While I think he looks cute, I don't think the outfit is very kid friendly. Those that buy it for their children must have the nanny change them. The pants and belt have to be taken off each time he needs to be changed because there aren't any buttons.

Great Grandparents

Avery has been blessed to be able to meet his great grandparents on both sides. Grandma and Grandpa Wunderlin came to visit us last weekend and we saw Grandpa North in early September.

Better than Sears

We decided to set up our own portrait studio and get some quality photos. Here are some of our favorites.

First camping adventure

For our belated anniversary we decided to go to a cabin near Wisconsin Dells. It rained for the entire time except for about 5 min where we took the opportunity to snap a picture so we could remember the "nice weather".

Out for a walk

We were out for a walk along one of the lakes in Madison on Sept 14th. The sun started to set and the light was perfect for some good pictures.

Ghetto Hat

Avery sleeps better when he wears his ghetto hat because he is confident the ladies will think he is cute.
