Messiest Pumpkin Carving Ever

We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins this year. It was by far the messiest carving I've ever been part of, but Avery and Alia had so much fun. Oh and Venus was having the time of her life trying to catch flying pumpkin seeds; she loves pumpkin!


This was her initial reaction to sticking her hand in the pumpkin.


She was less leery once she saw Avery dig right in. (Batman is not scared of pumpkin guts!)

Yes, he actually has both feet in the pumpkin!


We had Avery design his pumpkin on paper this year. This is what he came up with. He wanted one big eye, one little eye and a mouth with a big smile. Of course his favorite part was the backside of the pumpkin....


He said his pumpkin needs a butt.


Scott got frustrated with the knife so he pulled out the power tools this year to help speed up the process. Avery loved this part the best.
