One of the specials is cooking so Alia made a cake from start to finish by herself. It was a chocolate cake with butter creme frosting.
They plan and cook a meal together on Saturday nights. They decided to make pot stickers from scratch. They turned out great.
We built a shed over our garden last year so we made container boxes for the garden this year.
Peas, lettuce, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, and strawberries are planted here. We also have an apple tree, cherry tree, blueberry bushes and raspberries in the yard.
I get to home-school a cute bear. It was announced last week that we will be homeschooling the rest of the school year.
Avery's loving the self-directed learning.
We made homemade masks from materials in our sewing box.
We are still working on getting the stumps out from the Fir Trees we took down last summer.
A blazing fire to help burn the stumps out.
All of the King County trails are closed on the island but we have a few trails close to home that aren't a part of King County. One of the hikes is down to a beach. We enjoyed hitting rocks with sticks.
Maia loves our adventures.
Off for a bike ride with Maia.
Always stealing my phone for a selfie.
We made a trail behind our house to a creek bed and then hiked the bed out to Beall Road.
The trail was crazy and overgrown in so many areas. We saw a lot of animal activity because no one is ever down there.
