Father's Day 2012

This year we did a super hero theme to go along with Father's Day.


 I told Avery and Alia to go downstairs to the dress up box and find super hero costumes.   They emerged 10 minutes later as Super Girl and Super Guy.   Those were the names they picked.

 
We did a superhero profile for Scott.   I asked them what Daddy would be if he was a superhero.   This is what they said:
His name: Lightening Man
Avery:  He can fly and shoot lightening bolts.   He can also shoot lightening to explode things.  
Alia:   He will be super strong
Secret Identity:
Avery  & Alia:   He is a dad
Arch Enemy:
Avery:   His enemy is dark Wolf.   Dark wolf can turn into anything and be anything.   His favorite thing to turn into is a superhero.  
Alia:  Daddy's enemy will be powerful.  His name is enemy.

Most Memorable Superhero Adventure: 

Avery:   Lightening man shot lightening balls at Dark wolf.   Dark wolf had a powerful shield that he held up when lightening man shot the balls.   The shield shot the balls back at lightening man.   lightening man made an invisible shield that sucked the ball back in and shot them behind dark wolf.  they hit dark wolf and he fell to the ground and exploded.  
Alia:  Lightening man played with superman.   Lightening man used power and shot fire.

 
When Scott got home this sign was greeting him.   They waited for a half an hour by the door with their marshmallows, anxiously awaiting his arrival.  


  We got him!

  
We went canoeing yesterday and had a blast!  It was gorgeous out and this time the kids loved canoeing.

    
We even found a small island to explore where we met Chuck....We weren't sure what he was.   He looked like a cross between a chicken, a duck and a turkey.
